About this client: Millie is a creative and engaging 4-year-old living with her Mummy, Daddy and new baby brother in Crockham Hill. Millie loves imaginary play; you may be lucky enough to receive a new hairstyle whilst visiting her hairdressing salon, get a routine checkup by Dr. Millie at her GP practice, or be the shopkeeper for a minute or two when she is doing her shopping! Millie sustained a Brain Injury and Epilepsy and has daily and emergency medication onsite. As a result of her Brain Injury, Millie has no sense of danger or risk, and she is sensory seeking. She is fiercely independent and knows her own mind; she can feel frustrated while she learns about her abilities and works on her over development skills. Millie has a current Snap Care SEN Support Worker and there is an opening for a part-time person to join her team.

Overview of role: Play, play and more play! Millie’s SEN Support Worker will come on board and implement a play-led therapy programme, implementing her plan using a fun and creative approach. Millie has huge potential, and early intervention is key to ensure she has all opportunities available to exceed her targets and goals. Training will be provided by her therapy team to support you in this role. Millie will require support with the typical afterschool and bedtime routine, although Mum or Dad will take over after bathtime. The role is any 3 weekdays to be mutually agreed, these will then be fixed days.

Who this job would suit: An experienced *female Teaching Assistant, Play Worker or SEN professional, seeking a position working within a family setting. Although this is a part-time role it will work very well alongside working in a school or if you are studying. You will have a passion for play and understand that this is a huge part of the role with Millie, not only for her to have fun, but also to learn and grow.

What’s great about this job: Millie is a confident, curious and at times mischievous little girl. She will keep you on your toes, and make you smile and laugh every day, that is a guarantee! Excellent training available and flexibility to set your own working days. Come and join Millie’s team, and work with one of the nicest, supportive, and welcoming families and a professional case management company.
