SEN Nanny in Fleet, GU51. A fantastic opportunity available for a Professional SEN Nanny to support Elsa (soon to be 6 years old), a bright, cheeky and future star performer! On average 3 or 4 Long shifts (including overnights) per week.

Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Weekday start time: 2.30pm to 9.00am, Weekend and School holidays 24-hour shift, start-time: 10.00am. Each shift includes a sleeping night 10.00am to 6.00am. 3 or 4 shifts on average per week.

About this client/child: Fabulous Elsa is going to be 6 years old soon, she is a busy bee, a thrill-seeker, who loves going to theme parks, and trips to the beach. Elsa has recently started singing lessons and treats her family and team to a number of performances at home, even her teddies join the audience! Elsa is pre-verbal and uses AAC and Makaton to support her communication, her singing lessons have had a positive impact on her expressive communication. Elsa has Cerebral Palsy, and uses a walker to support her mobility, and a wheelchair. She is an extremely determined little girl, strong willed and as bright as a button – her family and team of SEN Nannies facilitate and enable Elsa to reach her full potential.

Overview of role: Elsa attends school, and her team provide wrap around care and support which includes a sleeping night, meaning shifts are typically 19 hours long during term time and 24 hours during school holidays. Elsa is a great sleeper, and typically sleeps through therefore it is unlikely that your sleep will be disrupted. Outside of school Elsa has a busy diary and likes to explore new hobbies and interests. This is a typical SEN Nanny role that involves planning activities, playing games, support Elsa to access the community and maintain her friendships, promote her independence, facilitate her learning, assist with accessing the world around her, implement therapy programmes and support with all self-care and self-help skills. Elsa’s family home is fully adapted to meet all her needs, including ceiling track hoists, all manual handling is 1:1. Elsa has 5 members of her team who all work in collaboration with each other, her family, and other healthcare professionals.

Who this job would suit: A fun loving, positive, energetic and proactive SEN Nanny with a real passion for development and play. You will come to this role with excellent SEN and childcare experience, be creative and available to work weekdays and weekends on a rota basis. The rota is provided 4 weeks in advance and will consist of 3 or 4 shifts per week, therefore you will have time to plan in advance and enjoy a great work life balance.
