Care Team Leader, Peacehaven, East Sussex, BN10. 22 hours per week (1 shift on a Friday plus admin hours) Team Lead position available to manage a busy, dedicated and hardworking team supporting a fabulous teen with complex care needs. £462.00 + Gross per Week .

Location: Peacehaven, BN10  
Wage/Salary: £21.00 Gross per Hour | £462.00 + Gross per Week | £24,000.00 + Gross per Annum
Driver Essential? Yes, with own car to travel to and from client’s home. Client has a WAV for use on duty, must be confident driving this adapted vehicle (automatic drive)
Essential: 1 year minimum in a team leader / senior / managerial role within health and social care. Paedriatric support or childcare experience. Position is open to *female applicants only.
Desirable: Experience supporting a young person with a physical disability
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 13 admin / team lead hours allocated per week. Friday 6.30am to 10.15am and 3.45pm to 8.00pm, contact / support hours with client. School Holiday hours:  Friday 8.00am – 8.00pm.
Family/Client Pets: Yes, a very friendly dog, chickens and guinea pigs!

About this client/child: Georgie is 13 years old and surrounded by her loving and devoted family. A little bit about the fabulous Georgie: she loves going on outings to the park, or local walks in nature, feeding the chickens and letting a guinea pig sit on her lap. She loves being sung to and watching TV; Molly and Mack, Giggle Quiz and Horrid Henry are a few firm favourites! Georgie has Cerebral Palsy (she is a full-time wheelchair user), epilepsy (controlled) and is visually impaired. Georgie requires support with all personal care, support with eating, and administration of medication. Georgie communicates using body language, sounds and facial expressions. Georgie is supported by her well-established team of 10 support workers, providing day and waking night support. Her team provides 1:1 and at times 2:1 support.

Overview of role: Georgie has a wonderful bedroom, (doors open out onto her lovely garden), bathroom, and cool living room / kitchenette where she hangs out with her support workers. The Friday shift will comprise of supporting Georgie in the morning to get ready for school, and complete the school drop off, then pick up and support with her afternoon and bedtime routine. The team lead / admin hours are worked outside of the Friday contact hours.  The Team Leader can use the office on site to complete all duties, including managing her dedicated team, managing the rota, carrying out supervisions, organising training, liaising with her multidisciplinary team, arranging various appointments and weekly meetings with Georgie’s Mum and Dad.

Who this job would suit: An organised, dedicated and experienced Care Team Leader that will advocate for Georgie, continually promote her independence and has exceptionally high standards of practice. A confident driver, along with the availability to cover additional shifts if required is essential.
